Drive to Mesendorf, another UNESCO world heritage site, to see traditional bread making, short village walk and visit church

Lunch

Courtyard with bread maker

Afternoon

Visit Saschiz, also a UNESCO world heritage site – visit the church, walk to the citadel (ruin), or village walk stopping at village courtyards

Dinner

Viscri or Saschiz – meeting producers and tasting their produce


Activity Three

 
Morning

Visit Sighisoara fresh produce market (daily but Wednesday & Saturday best) Explore the oldest, intact, walled and inhabited citadel in Europe, and visit the Clock Tower Museum.

Lunch

Free to explore on own

Afternoon

Visit an organic agricultural training scheme for young people from the village of Boiu. Afternoon tea - taste their organic milk, cheese and bread.

Dinner

Activity Four

 
Morning

Drive to Crit, sample goats cheese and other local produce, courtyard distillery, meet the bees and sample wild flower meadow honey

Lunch

Village courtyard

Afternoon

Visit Cloasterf church and village courtyard for refreshments

Morning

Drive to Biertan, another UNESCO world heritage site, to visit the church and to see embroidery in traditional Saxon home

Lunch

Courtyard with embroidery lady or restaurant in Biertan

Afternoon

Drive to Malancrav to see traditional weaving, carpet making or to Floresti to visit barrel maker.

Dinner

Viscri

Alternatively, scenic drive Sighisoara / Biertan / Agnita / Apold / Sigishoara

Saschiz to Daia – 4 to 5 hours (plus return journey by horse and cart)
