The Kálnoky Family have returned to Transylvania after 50 years of exile. The Kálnoky Estate is composed of buildings in two villages, Miklósvár (the Hunting Manor) and Sepsikőröspatak (the Main Residence, located 50km from Miklósvár). During the Communist regime in Romania, many of the buildings had fallen into ruins. The family immediately set about finding ways to save their heritage and restore the Estate to its former character. Through the development of a unique tourism venture, the Kálnoky’s have started turning their vision into reality. The Kálnoky Guesthouses are situated in the tiny village of Miklósvár in Szeklerland, Transylvania.
Transylvania is not only famous as the homeland of Bram Stoker’s fictional character, Count Dracula, but is also associated with the dramatic history of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, well-preserved Medieval villages, and excellent Romanian wines. We invite you to discover Transylvania as our great grand parents knew it in the 1800's.

You will stay in Miklósvár (Micloşoara), a remote village situated in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, from which you will be able to explore Transylvania, past and present.
